Silicone grease is recommended for the maintenance of manual vacuum pumps.
During the use of the pumps, the piston seals can dry out, so they are subject to heavy wear.
To maintain the vacuum pumps, it is recommended that the piston ring of the pump be coated thinly with the recommended silicone grease from time to time.
